The last day of visiting banks started with Credit Suisse. As expected, I really enjoyed the visit and felt that the company did a great job of making the presentations interesting and getting students involved in the case study. The Alibaba visit having been cancelled, we received some extra time to make the most of our stay in London. After that we had our last bank visit, which was at Deutsche bank. I cannot even say which event I liked the most. I have learnt a lot and met some very smart individuals. After the LST my decision to build a career in a chosen sphere has definitely been justified. The more I have spoken to people, the more I have realized that only through discussions with professionals is it possible to understand which field of finance is the most appealing to you.
The pub crawl was scheduled for Friday evening. Even though HEC booked places at 3 different pubs, all the students ended up coming to the same one. Hence Friday night was very fun but very long and I ended up returning to the hotel closer to the morning.
The next morning we had several hours before we had to leave the hotel to go to the train station. So I decided to meet up with a friend, who is studying in London.
I will definitely remember the LST as an exciting experience and I believe that HEC has given me a significant career advantage as a result.
Of course all of us MIF students know we will have to work hard in these coming weeks but, now, we are more than ready to do so.
