HEC Paris - MBA Program

New offering in Inclusive Business and Value Creation

Kenya flower business

HEC Paris launched in June the first global open enrolment program dedicated to ‘Inclusive Business and Value Creation’. It aims to develop alternative business practices, and is designed as an accelerator for business executives wanting to design, implement and scale projects or new business lines with social or environmental aims.
The program is delivered twice a year in different locations and for different audiences.
The first edition took place at the Chênelet, a social enterprise near Calais, in the North of France, for 3 ½ days of intensive training. Participants followed a comprehensive program to enable them to develop their projects with an experimental learning approach, combining field exposure with community practice.
Participants had a work project that they co-developed during the program with the aid of project tutoring and peer-to-peer coaching. Projects were devoted to issues such as access to water, medicines, energy and waste management.
Each intake gives access to a follow-up together with the faculty as well as to a membership to a global learning community of inclusive business leaders (alumni and partners of the program). A six months project tutoring is optional.
The second intake will take place in Kenya in March 2015 in English for executives operating in emerging economies. Find the brochure INCLUSIVE BUSINESS AND VALUE CREATION.

In 2011, three industry leaders, Danone, Renault, and Schneider Electric, sponsors of the HEC Paris Social Business/Enterprise and Poverty Chair, commissioned HEC Paris to launch a pilot program tailored for business executives. In response to this initiative, HEC Paris, together with Ashoka, the renowned global networkof leading social entrepreneurs and Hystra, a consultancy specialized in inclusive businesses combined their efforts to design and deliver a program in executive education.

The program is designed for participants who have typically ten or more years of management experience and are part of the team determining the strategic direction of their company.
The program is taught by the faculty of the HEC Paris Social Business Chair and representatives of Ashoka and Hystra.
