HEC Paris - MBA Program

On June 27, HEC Paris held a round table at the Pavilion France on the topic Feeding the Planet, Inclusive Economy and Corporations:  Next steps?

Organized by the HEC Paris International development Department, thanks to HEC Paris Social Business/Enterprise and Poverty Chair and its Executive Director, Bénédicte Faivre-Tavignot, also co-director of the SnO, the round table gathered a very committed and skillful panel composed of academics, businessmen, leaders in international organizations and NGOs:

– Corinne Bazina, General Director, Danone communities,
– Andrea Goldstein, Head of Global Relations, OECD Investment Division,
– Philippe Lévêque, General Director of CARE France,
– Maurizio Zollo, Director Chair of Strategy and Sustainability, Bocconi University,
– and Bénédicte Faivre-Tavignot.

Moderator : Federico Leardini, from Sky TV in Milan.

Together, they attempted to answer the following questions:

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), 800 million people are undernourished in the world today. One in six, that is 100 million children, are underweight in the developing world. We know the physical and mental impacts that this has on their development. What is going to happen in 2050 when the world population surpasses 10 billion people?
Prospective analysis will help answer this question and build the new Sustainable Development Goals. What initiatives have corporations already carried out to address this issue? Are they inclusive enough? Are they producing results? How can we ensure that the successful initiatives are replicated and scaled up? What new models should be invented?

Soon the round table video.
