Professor Muhammad Yunus, known as the ‘banker of the poor’, is a Bangladeshi social entrepreneur, banker, economist and civil society leader who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for founding the Grameen Bank and pioneering the concepts of microcredit and microfinance.

He has also been HEC Paris Honoris Causa Professor 2005.

 

 

Martin Hirsch is a graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the ENA. He is the former President of the “Emmaus France” charity organization.

High Commissioner for Active Solidarities and High Commissioner for Youth in the French government between 2007 and 2010, he was until recently President of France’s Civil Service Agency.

He is now Head of the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, the Greater Paris University Hospitals.
